Hefesto Asesores’ team advised the Mexican venture capital fund, GC Capital Fund I, in the negotiation, structuring and implementation of the capitalization of convertible debt instruments in SkyAlert for an amount equivalent to $12,500,000,000.00 M.N., in exchange for receiving a percentage of participation in the capital stock of SkyAlert.
The capitalization of the debt instruments translates into a revaluation of the investment asset of more than double the initial value and confirms GC Capital Fund I’s commitment to generate value for its investors and support SkyAlert in its expansion and consolidation process.
The Hefesto Asesores team was led by Federico Vázquez as Managing Partner and Karla Valdovinos as junior associate. Nicolas Diaz participated as in-house legal counsel for SkyAlert.
SkyAlert is a 100% Mexican technology company that has the capacity to alert and prevent earthquakes nationwide and is the only application in Mexico that sends alerts with the estimated time of arrival of an earthquake in each location. It currently covers more than 80% of the most dangerous earthquake zones in Mexico.
With these types of transactions HA confirms its commitment to the Mexican venture capital market participants and its participation in complex transactions in valuation and legal structuring of deals.
